My Life: Nonstop November

My name is Audrina && this is my life.

When I say nonstop, I really mean nonstop. November has gone by so fast its insane! From my birthday to hanging out with friends to tons of school work to Thanksgiving, this month has been nothing but jam packed. So for this months my life post I have decided to change this up a bit. I got this idea from a book series I use to read in 7th grade (5 years ago!) called The Clique. The main character would always write current in and outs of her life in her diary and that is what I'm doing today.

In:
Birthday- My birthday was this month! Yay! It was lots of fun & the cake was yummy!
Spending Time With Family- Had so much fun hanging out with family this Thanksgiving!
Breaking Dawn Part 1- Saw this with my cousins love them & love the movie!
Coffee (French Vanilla)- Never been a big coffee person, but ever since I went to my cousin's house I'm hooked!

Out:
Car Travel- Adding up all the hours we drove for Thanksgiving break is 22 hours!
Homework/School Projects- I haven't had this much homework all of this year as much as I had this month.

My Life: I'm Thankful

My name is Audrina && this is my life.

Happy Thanksgiving! I know I haven't done a my life post since October, but November went by so fast! I can't believe that today is the 25th! So in honor of Thanksgiving I wanted to share with you guys what I am thankful for.

Family
I love my family so much! I'm at my uncles house right now and my cousin and I are about to go and get ready for the Thanksgiving dinner after I'm done writing this. Seriously thought I love my family. We may go through our tough times, but I know you will be there for me forever!

Friends
This year was a big friendship year for me. I made so many friends! Love you guys!

Life
I know it may sound kind of cheesy, but I'm so thankful for my life. I'm blessed to be living with so many people that love and support me. Those mean people can hate all they want, I don't care anymore because I know I have people who love and support me. Life is honestly great!

When I wear this color I feel like a 1920's starlet. Weird?

OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It
This is full of fine red glitters and hex silver glitters.

Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slipper
This is a black based nail polish with lot and lots of red glitters.

What reds will you be wearing this holiday season?

Meow! by Katy Perry

I am a huge Kat Perry fan, but I was not a huge fan of her first perfume called 'Purr'. It was okay, but I didn't smell like anything special. So now her new perfume 'Meow!' is coming out and I am very excited. While I was at Nordstroms yesterday the lady working at the perfume counter handed a little sample of the perfume to me to smell. All I can say is I loved it! It was sweet, but not too sweet. I just really like the scent I think its great for teens and early twenties. The bottle is very childish (not gonna lie), but it goes very well with the whole theme. The perfume is not available in stores yet, but you can preorder it on Nordstroms website.

Notes:
Honeysuckle, Pear, Musk, Amber, Vanilla

Make Your Hair Look Longer

For most of us, hair grows pretty slow and at a certain point it just doesn’t grow any longer. Here are my tips for faking long hair!
  1. Wear your hair straight: Rather than curled or wavy. Even if you have straight hair you should try this, you'll be surprised how much longer your hair looks.
  2. Don't get layers: If you have layers, you might have trouble making your hair look longer. A lot of people think that if the bottom layer of their hair is still long, they can get layers. Typically, you get layers around your face and not as many in the back of your hair. This will make the back of your hair look long, but the front will appear way shorter when you look at the front layered section in a mirror. Basically, just be careful if you’re considering layers and want to grow your hair our really long
  3. Parting your hair: Take all of the hair behind the back of your head and let it fall to the back. Then take the front pieces on either side of your head that are in the front and pull them over your shoulders so the hair lays down the front of your shoulders. I know it sounds simple, but it really does the trick. If you put all of your hair behind your shoulders, the front pieces will look shorter. And if you pull all of your hair to the front, the hair from the back will look shorter.

Haul: OPI Nail Polishes

This is my first ever haul on my blog! I know a lot of other ladies do this on their blogs, so I just wanted to try it on mine. This is just a small haul over the nail polishes I purchased earlier today.

This first color is OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It from the Muppets Holiday 2011 Collection. I love this color! I think its perfect for the holidays. It has micro red glitters and medium sized silver hex glitters.

This next shade is OPI I Eat Mainely Lobster from the Touring Americas Fall 2011 Collection. I saw this and instantly feel in love! I think no girl can have too many pink nail polishes. Wouldn't you agree?

P.S- Let me know if you guys like these haul posts.

The Perfect Skincare Routine

There are five skin categories normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive.

Normal: Skin tends to be even with a few blemishes here and there, not many problem areas.
Dry: Pores are small and tight. Is prone to blotches, dry patches and ashiness.
Oily: Pores are often large and skin is more prone to blemishes and excess shine.
Combination: The cheeks are dry, the T-Zone area is oily.
Sensitive: Skin is easily irritated therefore more prone to an uneven skin tone.

After you have figured out you skin type, it is time to choice products that work well with your skin.

Cleanser
For Normal Skin: People with normal skin can use any type of cleanser since your skin doesn't have much problem areas.
For Dry Skin: It's best to use creamy cleansers because it won't strip the face from essential oils.
You may also benefit from wiping off instead of rinsing off because water can dry the skin out even more.
For Oily & Combination Skin: It's best to stick with gel cleansers because it's lighter in consistency and removes excess oil/dirt best.
For Sensitive Skin: Try avoiding cleansers that contain alcohol and fragrance so it won't irritate your skin.

Toner
For Normal Skin: Use a non-alcoholic toner so it doesn't strip your face from oil.
For Dry Skin: Use a hydrating, non-alcoholic toner to moisten the skin. Milk toners are great for dry skin.
For Oily & Combination Skin: I recommend astringents because they help remove dirt, excess oil and impurities.
For Sensitive Skin: Use a non-alcoholic, soothing toner.

Moisturize
For Normal Skin: Any type of moisturizer will work best.
For Dry Skin: Creamy moisturizers work best because they help the skin to lock in moisturize better.
For Oily & Combination Skin: Gel moisturizers work best because they won't make the skin feel greasy.
For Sensitive Skin: You could use fragrance-free cream based moisturizers or lotions.

Dolce & Gabbana The One

The first time I smelled this perfume was when I was twelve years old. Obviously I didn't end up buying this perfume, but the name always remained in the black of my mind. Flash forward to when I was sixteen, I saw this perfume and instantly remembered how much I liked it. Now I am a proud owner of this perfume for almost two years. This is my go to perfume for special occasions. It is a pretty strong scent, so I wouldn't wear it as a everyday perfume. However, I love this for dinners, fancy events and dances.
